    Aurelia Metals are currently looking for an experienced Mill Electrical Supervisor to join the Peak Gold Mines team, located at Cobar NSW.

    The successful applicant will lead the Mill Electrical Team and will assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of electrical systems in the process plant. You will develop and maintain safe working practices through the use of company health and safety systems and work procedures as appropriate.

    This position will suit a motivated, self-starter. An individual who will want to stamp their mark on a team of enthusiastic tradespeople through coaching, mentoring and leadership. An individual who is constantly seeking excellence within their sphere of influence.

    Additional responsibilities of the position include:

    • Provide leadership and direction to the Mill Electrical Team to ensure weekly electrical maintenance plans are achieved in a safe and efficient manner
    • Assist Electrical Planners in with the creation and implementation of electrical maintenance plans
    • Ensure electrical compliance is maintained and upgraded as required by Australia Standards
    • Complete hazard reviews and be involved in risk assessments for daily activities, shutdowns and electrical projects
    • Assist with sourcing and procurement of equipment, parts and labour for the Mill Electrical Team

     

     

    To be successful in this position the following attributes are required:

    • NSW Electrical Supervisor Certificate
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a mineral processing environment
    • Previous experience within a Supervisory or Leadership role
    • Substantial knowledge and experience utilising computer programs including Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (PRONTO) and Microsoft Office Suite
    • High-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to foster strong customer and vendor working relationships
    • Ability to deliver to deadlines and ensure maintenance and preventative maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company guidelines, processes and within budget.
    • Manual drivers license

     

    This is a residential position on a 5/2, 4/3 roster. The role offers a competitive remuneration package and subsidised company housing.

Mill Operators

    Reporting to the Supervisor Mill Ops we are currently seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Mill Operator to join our Processing Team. In this position you will ensure all aspects of the operations activities are carried out safely and efficiently. You will operate with a sense of urgency to achieve target outcomes and KPI's. This is a residential role based in Cobar NSW, with a lifestyle friendly 7/7 roster.

    Key responsibilities for this position (include but are not limited to the following):

    • Maintain the effective operation of all the plant circuits
    • Control room operation
    • Carryout circuit prestart checks
    • Carryout day to day activities assigned by the shift supervisor
    • Maintain plant housekeeping standards
    • Perform minor maintenance tasks and report maintenance requirements for mobile and fixed plant equipment
    • Actively participate in all safety systems; incidents reporting, hazards, investigations, JHA and different types of risk assessments
    • Assist with tails dam operation and maintenance
    • Maintain ROM pad, ore stockpiles
    • Assist with concentrate handling operation
    • Maintain and update log sheet records and other reporting requirements

     

    It is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

    • Previous experience on operating mills, thickeners, filters, pumps, flotation circuit and tails deposition systems
    • Ability to maintain high housekeeping standards
    • Ability problem solve
    • Effective communication
    • Ability to work unsupervised
    • Forklift Ticket (Desirable but not essential)

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

    The key objectives of this position are to optimise extraction of Peak Mines resources through efficient, safe and cost effective mining operations.This is a residential role in Cobar, NSW, with Subsidised housing and a 5/2 - 4/3 or 8/6 roster.

    Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure designs are safe and are effective in their lifecycle application.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Promote and enforce safe work practices.
    • Develop, Implement, Review and Update Geotechnical standards and procedures in respect of ground monitoring, ground control and mine infrastructure.
    • Develop and implement inspections and monitoring regimes for quality control of installed ground support. This includes working with the contractors and other external geotechnical engineering firms to deliver QA/QC information and test results in a timely manner.
    • Working closely with the mine operations and technical services teams to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

     

    To be considered for the role, you will hold a Bachelor Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or similar discipline coupled with 10+years of underground mining experience. You will require effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal, cooperative and facilitation skills. In addition, you will be proficient in the utilisation of specialist mining software – Vulcan, Deswik CAD, Seismology, UnWedge, Map3D, Dips, Corel Draw. Current NSW ‘C’ class driver’s licence (or equivalent) is required.
